Who we are

Rokstep is a daily business coach app for small business owners. It is made by Rokstep ("Rokstep," "we," "us"). Our mailing address is 15 Hershey Rd., Shippensburg, PA 17257.

This policy explains what information Rokstep uses, why, and the choices you have. It covers the Rokstep app and this website.

What stays on your device

When you set up Rokstep, you tell it about your business. That includes things like:

• Your business profile (name, type of business, location, what you sell)
• Your goals
• Your Moves, progress, streaks and check-ins

Right now, this information is saved in your own browser or device storage. It is not saved in an account on our servers. There are no Rokstep accounts yet. If you clear your browser data or delete the app, this information is erased.

What we send when you use AI features

Some Rokstep features use AI to write your Moves, coaching answers and post drafts. When those features are on, the app sends this information to our server:

• Your business profile and goals
• The titles of your recent Moves
• The text you type into the app (for example, a question to your coach)

Our server is hosted by Cloudflare. It passes that information to Anthropic's Claude API, which writes the suggestion and sends it back to you. We use this information only to give you your suggestions. We do not use it to sell or show ads.

Anthropic handles the information under its own commercial terms and privacy policy. You can read Anthropic's privacy policy at anthropic.com/legal/privacy.

Please don't type private details you don't need to share, like a customer's full name, phone number, or bank or card numbers.

Usage limits and IP addresses

To keep the AI features fair and affordable, our server counts how many AI requests each user makes per day. To do that, it turns your IP address (your internet connection's address) into a scrambled code called a one-way hash. The hash can't be turned back into your IP address. We do not store your raw IP address.

Cloudflare, our hosting company, keeps standard server logs, which may include IP addresses. Cloudflare handles those logs under its own privacy policy.

What we don't do

• We don't sell your information.
• We don't show ads, and we don't use ad trackers.
• We don't use analytics or tracking tools in the app or on this website right now. If that changes, we will update this policy first.
• Rokstep never posts, spends money or messages your customers on its own.

Payments

Rokstep subscriptions are planned to be sold through the Apple App Store and Google Play. If you subscribe, Apple or Google handles your payment. We do not see or store your card number. Apple and Google may share basic purchase details with us, like whether your subscription is active.

Who we share information with

We only share information with companies that help us run Rokstep:

• Anthropic, to generate AI suggestions
• Cloudflare, to host our website and server
• Apple and Google, if you buy a subscription through their app stores

We may also share information if the law requires it, to protect people's safety, or if Rokstep is sold or merged with another company. If that happens, this policy will still apply to your information.

How long we keep it

Information on your device stays until you delete it. Our daily usage counts are kept only as long as needed to apply daily limits, about one day. How long Cloudflare and Anthropic keep data is set by their own policies.

Your choices and deleting your data

• Delete your data in the app: clear your browser's site data for Rokstep, or delete the app from your phone. That erases your business profile, goals and progress.
• Turn off AI features: if you don't use the AI features, your business details are not sent to our server.
• Ask us: you can ask what information we have about you, or ask us to delete it, by emailing mrbizwop@icloud.com.

When Rokstep adds accounts, you will be able to delete your account and its data from inside the app, or by emailing us. We will update this policy when that happens.

Depending on where you live, you may have extra privacy rights under your local law. To use them, contact us at the email above.

Keeping information safe

We use secure (encrypted) connections between the app, our server and Anthropic. No system is perfectly secure, so we can't promise that information will never be exposed. We keep as little information as we can.

Children

Rokstep is for business owners. It is not meant for children under 13, or under 16 in the European Union and UK. We do not knowingly collect information from children. If you think a child has used Rokstep, contact us and we will delete what we can.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as Rokstep grows. When we do, we will change the "last updated" date at the top. If a change is big, we will let you know in the app or on this website.
